Chery Brendel, soprano, recieved a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Evangel University in Springfield, MO
and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is an active performer of opera and oratorio
and serves on the voice faculty at Lee University. She has served in the past as adjunct professor of voice at Georgia State University in
Atlanta and as Assistant Professor of Voice at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. There she taught private voice and voice-related
courses and was Artistic Director of the opera theater program.
As a church musician, Chery has served as Director of Music Ministries at the Islands Assembly of God Church in Savannah, GA and
served with her husband Ron Brendel in the Music Ministry of New Life Aseembly of God Church in Lancaster, PA. She served as soprano
section leader/soloist at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ardomore, PA, Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, First United
Methodist Church in Cleveland TN, and since October 2007, at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
The Brendels live in Cleveland with their 12-year old daughter, Anna Marie.
